Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Hasbuk ("the app," "we," "us") is a Quran memorization and revision app. This Privacy Policy explains what information Hasbuk collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Hasbuk does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information (name, email, phone number) to use the app. All of your practice data — settings, practice history, ratings, and streaks — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party as identifiable personal data.
Hasbuk uses Mixpanel, a third-party analytics provider, to understand how the app is used and improve it. This includes:
This data is used solely to improve Hasbuk. It is not sold, shared with data brokers, or used to track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
Hasbuk fetches Quran verse text and reciter information from the Quran Foundation's Content API, through our own server. These requests are simple content lookups (e.g. "give me the text of verse 2:255"), authenticated using our own server credentials — not yours — and don't include any information that identifies you.
Recitation audio is streamed directly from third-party CDNs (mirrors.quranicaudio.com, everyayah.com) to your device. As with any direct internet connection, these requests may include your IP address as part of standard network communication, but Hasbuk does not send any other personal data alongside them.
Hasbuk does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require any account creation or personal information to use, from users of any age. The anonymous analytics described above are the only data collected, and are not linked to any individual's identity.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy or Hasbuk's data practices can be sent via our feedback page.
